Having completed High School with no idea of what career I wanted to pursue, I went about working a variety of jobs to make ends meet. These jobs included working as a kitchen hand, cocktail waitress, cleaner, child care worker, car yard hand, and cashier.
After 3 years working unfulfilling jobs I was given a definite sign to become an Aerobics Instructor. This led to a 17-year career in the fitness industry, hence the reason I am so passionate about keeping fit and remaining functional.
Working as an Instructor and Personal Trainer, as well as working within middle management of a local government-run fitness centre, resulted in 10 – 12 hour days.
The day came when Local Government decided to shut the fitness centre down. All who worked there were to lose their jobs. Many of the staff moved on to work in private fitness centres or to work for Local Council.
I knew I did not want to work in “corporate” land for Local Government or the pushy “sales” land of a privately run fitness centre.
I have a strong belief that my thoughts, feelings, words and actions create my future. I had absolutely no idea what career I wanted to pursue once the fitness centre shut down, so, rather than stress, I focused on remaining calm with the knowledge that something would come to me (just like when I received that sign to become an Aerobics instructor).

From Structure and Security to No Structure and Complete Insecurity
My life took a complete 180-degree turn. I went from a job that had a definite weekly set roster and definite weekly income to a job where I had no idea if I would work until 6pm the night before (if I was given work at all), where I would be dealing with tradies who did not seem to believe in being on time, where I had no real idea of what time my jobs for the day would finish, and where my income would, at times, barely cover the cost of my weekly groceries, let alone my other financial commitments. I was definitely faced with many personal challenges which I feel I faced head on.
To Work Jobs At Completely Opposite Ends Of The Scale Served A Wonderful Purpose
It enabled me to better understand myself.
I learned so much about myself including how I would like to earn income. I learned that I enjoy working from home, I enjoy being my own boss, I would enjoy being able to structure my day my way but most importantly I needed to earn income in a way that lit me up on the inside. Many of the things I disliked about my job would not have been an issue if I felt passionate about it.

The email interested me as it seemed to provide the answer to my question of how I could earn income in the way I desired. I did a little of my own due diligence, but, believe it or not, it was my partner who passed on emails he’d been receiving about a community of mentors. I must admit, after checking out the content my partner passed on to me and receiving such friendly customer service, the final decision to sign up with these mentors was very much instinctive based.

I signed up with Modern Wealthy / Launch You back in September 2016 and what a ride it’s been. To be honest with you I’ve had failure after failure but I knew I was on to a good thing so kept at it. I placed a lot of focus on learning more with each failure not to mention my own personal development ( as they say, a business is a reflection of the person running it)
It was in 2021 that I came into contact with 2 fellow members within the community offering a mindset course that included Time Line Therapy which gave me the “re-set” I needed
As you can imagine, the company has evolved quite a bit over the years and at this time a new course opened up that was all about discovering what it is that lights you up in life so that you could then create a business from that (the mentors in this community are very big on educating people to create a business they love)
Having lost touch with what it was that truly lit me up I ended up connecting with a coach within the community who helped me discover my passion for animals
And here I am today focused on doing more of what it is that truly lights me up. I am building a business based on energetic healing for animals, delving deeper into my own personal healing as a way to remove limitations that prevent me from living a life that lights me up (thanks to the wonderful Modern Wealthy community) and I continue to use the wonderful tools and resources provided by Modern Wealthy.
If it was not for this community and education who knows where I’d be. One thing I do know is that learning online marketing and applying the knowledge I learn has seen me do things I would never have imagined myself doing if I had not chosen to take this journey – things such as blogging, creating ads, and designing my own websites -not bad for someone who started out with very minimal tech skills
I must say….
It’s been a hell of a journey and it certainly hasn’t ended yet and I wouldn’t have it any other way
